Airliner Storage and Disassembly

A commercial airliner storage and parts reclamation facility is operated at the Tupelo Airport by Universal Asset Management (UAM). Aircraft from United Airlines, Lufthansa, ANA and other airlines have been stored and disassembled there. Both narrow-body and wide-body airliners can be accomodated.

UAM offers business services involving not only aircraft disassembly, but also asset management, storage, and component sales. Using the AFRA accredited system for airframe disassemblies, the UAM technical team is capable of executing precise and efficient disassemblies that remove components from nose-to-tail.

It operates offices in Memphis, England and Singapore in addition to Tupelo.

A recent arrival in November of 2017 was one of the last active Boeing 747s from United Airlines, Ship 8421, registered as N121UA.
