The Tupelo Regional Airport is located in Northeast Mississippi approximately 175 miles northeast of Jackson and 110 miles southeast of Memphis, Tennessee.
The airport occupies a 1,061 acre site, and features runway 18/36 at 6,500 feet in length, 150 feet wide. The field offers instrument approaches to aid pilots in times of limited visibility, a new full lighting system and an air traffic control tower. A new overlay on taxiways, a fire station, a new parking lot and a recently completed security system, including a new perimeter road, complete a recent facelift.
Commelrcial airline service to Nashville is provided by Contour Airlines.

A commercial airliner storage and parts reclamation facility is operated at the Tupelo Airport by Universal Asset Management (UAM). Aircraft from United Airlines, Lufthansa, ANA and other airlines have been stored and disassembled there. Both narrow-body and wide-body airliners can be accomodated.
UAM offers business services involving not only aircraft disassembly, but also asset management, storage, and component sales. Using the AFRA accredited system for airframe disassemblies, the UAM technical team is capable of executing precise and efficient disassemblies that remove components from nose-to-tail.
It operates offices in Memphis, England and Singapore in addition to Tupelo.
A recent arrival in November of 2017 was one of the last active Boeing 747s from United Airlines, Ship 8421, registered as N121UA.
